Concentrated Ethyl Alcohol

Ethyl alcohol is produced through the microbial fermentation of molasses. It is concentrated through a double effect vacuum distillation process and marketed as ‘Rectified Spirit’ with alcohol strength above 96% in volume. Over 90% of the total ethyl alcohol produced at Shakarganj is exported and we are proud to be a four-time award winner for the highest export of ethyl alcohol by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI)

Denatured Spirit & Methylated Spirit

Different types of spirits are used across a wide array of industries. To cater to the local wood-products industry, we produce denatured spirit with specifications in accordance with European standards. We also produce White/Spirit/Methylated Spiri that is used as critical ingredient in the paint industry.

Fuel Bioethanol

Bioethanol is a source of environment friendly energy and is produced as anhydrous alcohol, without any chemical use, using dry dehydration technology. As bioethanol is one of the the best alternative for fossil fuels, Shakarganj strives to maximize usage of bioethanol in all of its processes to ensure that we minimize any impact on the environment.

Shakarganj Limited, incorporated in 1967, is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange with the symbol SML. The company is the market leader in several areas of business including refined sugar, biofuels, textiles.
